WE LOST THE HEART AND SOUL OF OUR MUSEUM

There will never be another Charles W. Morrison. He was funny, endearing, quick-witted, kid-loving, entertaining, and a generous soul that was admired by all he encountered. His legacy goes far beyond his family and the many people he called friends. Far beyond the town he loved so much--the town that loved him back. No one here has ever been showered with so many accolades and deserving words of praise. He reveled as our ambassador to other communities that wanted to try to create their own museums. He and his trusty side-kick Jack Lemon spread the gospel of a developing community-based, self-funded museums across the state.

No, there will never be another Charles W. Morrison and we are all diminished because of that, but in a sense, as long as his beloved museum is open and thriving, he will always be with us.

On September 25th from 2pm to 5pm Ohio’s Small Town Museum will be conducting a Grand Opening of the Amazing Ashville exhibit. This event is dedicated to the memory of Charlie. There is a special display on his life and the exhibits throughout were influenced by his fun-loving spirit. The public is invited to this free event…. Bob Hines.
