all those years Herb!

Master Sergeant John A. Grembowski Jr.

My husband, Master Sergeant John A. Grembowski Jr., has served the active duty Air force for over eighteen years.  He comes from a military background with his father retired Air Force.
John has volunteered for many assignments. Some were in exotic places, others were undesirable at best. He has been gone from a couple of days, to over a year. He missed the birth of our first son, but made it home just before his first birthday. It didn't matter where he was sent, he was always an awesome husband and father through AT&T.
He has volunteered in Desert Shield-Storm knowing there were families over there that were not as fortunate as to watch the war from their T.V.s, like us Americans, but their windows instead. He has helped in orphanages in Turkey to lost children in the swamps of Florida. He has helped prepared for the visit of the President of the United States and was fortunate to see Bob Hope with the USO.   He has missed many family holidays which makes us appreciate the ones we do get to have together.
I hope others will remember what all Military members and their families in each branch of the service give, so they can live The American Dream.

Thanks,
Kim Grembowski

Comment: Great Web presence! Great news! And great people! A note to all who may know me: I graduated from Teays Valley in 1967. Today, I live in North Carolina and work outside Philli, PA as a Chaplain/Therapist in spiritual care and development with psychotic and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) patients. My youngest son (CPL David S. Ritchie USMC) just returned from Iraq and Afganistan. He is a 3rd generation combat Vet. He said to me one day after he returned that his deployment was for our freedom. I add to his statement that his and my deployments were for great places like Ashville, Ohio and people who live there. Good Luck and God Speed! Ashville, Ohio

Staff Sergeant, Matt Dummit

Rosie received a nice letter from Matt Dummitt in Baghdad. He keeps current on news of Ashville by reading the Circleville Herald. Matt says he is doing fine, but did get a little homesick as he was reading about the Pumpkin Show. He misses all that good pumpkin stuff: ice cream, pumpkin pie, etc. He also missed the fried cheese he used to get at the Ashville Fourth of July.

However, Matt says mail is always a morale boost and it's nice to know people 'back home' care about the soldiers in Iraq. He says not to worry, "I'll be fine".
