On December 13, 2004 Ashville, South Bloomfield, Harrison Township, and the Pickaway County Commissioners entered into a Comprehensive Economic Development Agreement (CEDA) which is still fairly new in Ohio and the first CEDA to involve four governmental entities.
The group known as the North Gate Alliance began working on the agreement August 2003 to develop business and smart growth strategies to protect and bring new jobs to Northern Pickaway County.
The Agreement creates tools to provide utilities and services for commercial development, share in cost and tax revenues, and create an atmosphere of cooperation that is conducive for business development.
The committee will be continuing to work on making the North Gate Alliance a place we will be proud of.
